What is 12cr1mov mechanical properties

Jan 06, 2026

12Cr1MoV seamless steel pipe is an alloy structural steel pipe material with 100% recyclability, complying with environmental protection and resource conservation policies. It is mainly used in high-pressure boilers, petroleum cracking, shipbuilding, gas cylinders, and hydraulic equipment.

The name 12Cr1MoV alloy steel pipe comes from its main alloying elements. "12" represents the approximate range of carbon content, "Cr" represents chromium, "Mo" represents molybdenum, and "V" represents vanadium. The specific chemical composition includes elements such as carbon, silicon, manganese, chromium, molybdenum, and vanadium. The reasonable ratio of these elements gives the material excellent high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance.

Mechanical properties of 12Cr1MoV seamless steel pipe:

Reduction of area (ψ/%): ≥50

Impact energy absorbed (Aku²/J): ≥71

British hardness (HBS100/3000) (annealed or high-temperature tempered state): ≤179

Features of 12Cr1MoV Seamless Steel Pipe

① Excellent high-temperature resistance: Maintains stable strength even at 500-600℃, commonly used in high-temperature equipment such as boilers and pressure vessels;

② Fatigue and corrosion resistance: Chromium enhances oxidation resistance, and molybdenum strengthens high-temperature strength, making it resistant to deformation or rusting over long-term use;

③ Stable mechanical properties: Tensile strength can reach over 490MPa, elongation ≥18%, capable of withstanding significant pressure and impact.
