What is a Straight-Through Globe Valve

A straight-through globe valve is a valve made of stainless steel, cast steel, or cast iron, featuring a compact structure, simple operation, reliable sealing, and corrosion resistance. Its characteristic lies in controlling flow by rotating the valve core. When used, the valve is opened or closed, allowing liquids, gases, or mixed media in pipeline systems to pass smoothly or stop flowing.

Application Occasions for Straight-Through Globe Valves

Due to advantages such as excellent sealing performance, light and easy opening/closing, and minimal valve leakage, straight-through globe valves are widely used in the following occasions:

  • Chemical Industry: Straight-through globe valves can be used for flow control and shutoff of various media, such as chemical raw materials, disinfectants, dyes, pharmaceuticals, etc.
  • Petroleum Industry: Straight-through globe valves can be used for pipeline isolation and flow control, such as oil and gas control, oil-gas transportation, crude oil processing, etc.
  • Metallurgical Industry: Straight-through globe valves can be used in pipeline system control for equipment like boilers, heat exchangers, blast furnaces, etc.
  • Power Industry: Straight-through globe valves can be used in pipeline system control for installations in thermal power plants, nuclear power plants, wind power stations, etc.
  • Other Industries: Straight-through globe valves can also be applied in pipeline control for industries such as papermaking, sugar production, and water treatment.
