Galvanized Seamless Steel Pipe
Galvanized seamless pipe is divided into cold plated seamless pipe and hot plated seamless pipe. Hot plated seamless pipes are made by reacting the molten metal with the iron substrate to produce an alloy layer, thus combining both the substrate and the plating. Cold galvanized is electro-galvanized, the amount of galvanization is very small, only 10-50g/m2, its own corrosion resistance is much worse than the hot galvanized pipe. Difference between hot and cold galvanized
Hot-dip galvanized seamless pipe: steel pipe matrix and molten plating solution occurs a complex physical, chemical reaction, forming a corrosion-resistant structure of close zinc and iron alloy layer. Alloy layer and pure zinc layer, steel pipe matrix into one. Therefore, its corrosion resistance.
Cold galvanized seamless pipe: zinc layer is electroplated layer, zinc layer and steel pipe matrix independent delamination. The zinc layer is thin, and the zinc layer simply adheres to the steel pipe matrix and is easy to fall off. Therefore, its corrosion resistance is poor. In new homes, it is prohibited to use cold galvanized steel pipe as water supply pipe.
