API 5L X42 pipe is an ultra-low carbon or mild steel microalloy pipe. Commonly used alloying elements in API 5L X42 straight seam steel pipes are manganese, phosphorus and sulfur. Adding these alloying elements can improve the mechanical properties of steel pipes. API 5L X42 Erw pipeline is a high-pressure gas pipeline. These pipes are highly resistant to cold, acid, and industrial waste materials such as hydrogen sulfide and other highly corrosive environments.
