ASTM A519 4140 Seamless Pipe
AISI grade 4140 is a low alloy steel pipe with chromium, molybdenum and manganese added to its alloy. Compared with 4130, the carbon content of 4140 steel pipe is slightly higher. This versatile alloy gives AISI 4140 pipe its good properties.
For example, they have good atmospheric corrosion resistance and reasonable strength. The chemical properties of 4140-grade seamless pipes show good comprehensive properties, such as toughness, strength, fatigue strength and wear resistance. Parts are heat treated to improve their mechanical properties.
In addition, the alloy also has self-scaling properties, which is an important feature of 4140 alloy steel pipe. Anti-scaling will effectively reduce treatment costs.
