Products Description
Grade T9 alloy steel tube and pipe are included in ASTM or ASME suited for boiler superheater, reheater pipe, header and steam pipe under 600℃ in high pressure, ultra-high pressure and subcritical power station, nuclear power heat exchanger and oil cracking unit furnace pipe.
According to ASTM A213 T9 material undergoes normalizing (heated to 925–980°C) followed by tempering (675–760°C) to refine its microstructure, balancing tensile strength (≥415 MPa) and ductility (elongation ≥30%). Post-bending, U-bend tubes often require stress-relief heat treatment (650–700°C) to mitigate residual stresses induced during forming, ensuring compliance with the standard's mechanical property requirements.
Tension test, hardness test, flattening test, and flaring test shall be done to each tube. Also, each tube shall be subjected to the nondestructive electric test or hydrostatic test.
