ASTM A335 P22 pipe is manufactured to ASTM, API and ASME standards and its chemical composition includes carbon, sulfur, phosphorus, manganese, silicon, chromium and molybdenum.
P22 chromium pipe has strong resistance to various forms of corrosion and oxidation. These pipes are designed to operate under extreme pressures and temperatures. Low-alloy ASTM A335 P22 steel material consists of 1% to 5% alloying elements, which gives the steel an excellent chemical composition and enhanced mechanical properties. SA335 gr P22 chromoly pipe has excellent mechanical properties, these pipes have a tensile strength of at least 415 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa.
The ductility of ASTM A335 P22 grade alloy pipe can be increased by at least 30%. The pipes are isothermally annealed and then tempered at 1250 degrees Fahrenheit. SA335 P22 round pipes are easily formed by flanging or bending due to the excellent formability of the materials from which these pipes are made. ASTM A335 P22 alloy steel pipe is widely used in natural gas processing, power generation, condensers, heat exchangers and other fields.
