What is A106 Grade B Seamless Carbon Steel Pipe?
ASTM A106 Gr B carbon steel seamless pipes are commonly used in the construction of oil and gas refineries, power plants, petrochemical plants, boilers and ships, which must carry gases and liquids operating at high pressures and temperatures.
ASTM A106 Gr B CS Seamless Pipe is a carbon steel seamless nominal wall pipe designed and manufactured specifically for high temperature applications. It contains additional silicon to improve its performance in high temperature environments such as steam pipes and process applications.
ASTM A106 Gr B CS pipe and a full range of Grade B stock are available in sizes ranging from NPS 1/8" to NPS 48" with nominal (average) wall thicknesses per ANSI B36.10. Other sizes of ASTM A106 seamless pressure pipe may be provided as long as they meet all the different requirements of this specification.
