GB 5310 12Cr1MoVG Seamless Boiler Tubes
The chemical composition of 12Cr1MoVG steel pipe is simple, with a total alloy content of less than 2%. It is a low-carbon, low-alloy pearlitic hot steel. Vanadium can form stable carbide VC with carbon, allowing chromium and molybdenum in the steel to preferentially exist in solid solution within the ferrite. This slows down the transfer rate of chromium and molybdenum from ferrite to carbide, making the steel more stable at high temperatures. The total amount of alloying elements in this steel is only half that of the widely used 2.25Cr-1Mo steel, but at 580℃, its 100,000-hour endurance strength is 40% higher than that of the latter. Additionally, its production process is simple, and it has good welding performance. With rigorous heat treatment, a satisfactory combination of performance and heat strength properties can be achieved.
