Stainless 3 Way Ball Valve

The stainless steel three-way ball valve is a pipeline control device that uses a ball as a closing element. It primarily uses a 90° rotation of the ball to shut off, distribute, and regulate flow direction. It is similar to the flanged gate valve. Made of 304/316 stainless steel, it is suitable for use in the chemical, petroleum, food, and pharmaceutical industries. It can handle highly corrosive media and steam pipelines. Its operating pressure range is 1.0-6.4 MPa and its operating temperature range is -20°C to 300°C.

It comes in two configurations: T-type and L-type. The T-type allows for three-way flow diversion or merging, while the L-type is designed for two-way flow distribution. The valve consists of a body, stem, ball, and sealing assembly. Its wedge-shaped seal ensures a seal that is unaffected by pressure differentials. Its top-entry design supports online maintenance, and its single-seat structure prevents abnormal pressure buildup. Available with manual, pneumatic, or electric actuation, it complies with international standards such as GB, JIS, and ANSI, and is certified by CE and ISO. During installation, space must be left for the valve handle to operate. The actuator must be installed upright and cannot be used for throttling.

Structural Features of Stainless Steel Three-Way Ball Valve:

1. Frictionless Opening and Closing. This feature completely eliminates the sealing issue of traditional valves caused by friction between sealing surfaces.
2. Top-Entry Structure. Valves installed on pipelines can be inspected and repaired directly online, effectively reducing equipment downtime and lowering costs. This type of valve should generally be installed horizontally in the pipeline.
3. Single-Seat Design. This eliminates the issue of abnormal pressure buildup in the valve chamber, which could affect operational safety.
4. Low-Torque Design. The specially designed valve stem allows for easy opening and closing with a small handle.
5. Wedge-Seal Structure. The valve seals by mechanical force generated by the valve stem, wedge-type pressing the ball against the valve seat. This ensures the valve's sealing performance is unaffected by fluctuations in pipeline pressure differentials, ensuring reliable sealing performance under various operating conditions.
6. Self-Cleaning Sealing Surface. When the ball tilts away from the valve seat, the fluid in the pipeline passes evenly along the sealing surface of the ball at 360 degrees, which not only eliminates the local scouring of the valve seat by high-speed fluid, but also washes away the accumulation on the sealing surface, achieving the purpose of self-cleaning.

Advantages of Stainless Steel Three-Way Ball Valves:

1. Low fluid resistance, with the resistance coefficient equal to that of a pipe section of the same length.
2. Simple structure, compact size, and light weight.
3. Tight and reliable. Plastic is widely used as the sealing surface material for ball valves, providing excellent sealing properties and widely used in vacuum systems.
4. Easy operation and quick opening and closing. A simple 90° rotation from fully open to fully closed facilitates remote control.
5. Easy maintenance. The ball valve has a simple structure, and the sealing ring is generally removable, making it easy to remove and replace.
6. When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surface between the ball and the valve seat is isolated from the medium, preventing erosion of the valve sealing surface when the medium passes through.
7. Widely applicable, with diameters ranging from a few millimeters to several meters, and applications from high vacuum to high pressure.
