ASTM A795 ERW Pipe Description
A795 Electric Resistance Welded Pipe is black welded pipe available in the range of NPS 1/2 to NPS 10 inclusive [DN 15 to DN 250 inclusive]. GNEE Group may provide pipes with other wall thicknesses, provided such pipes meet all other requirements of this specification. A795 pipe is suitable for use in fire protection systems. The pipe may be bent but is not suitable for bending at ambient temperatures where the inside diameter of the bend is less than twelve times the outside diameter of the pipe being bent.

Inspection
- Inspectors acting on behalf of the Purchaser shall, at all times while the work is being performed, have free access to all work areas of the manufacturer concerned with the manufacture of the ordered material. The manufacturer shall provide the inspector with all reasonable facilities to satisfy themselves that the material is furnished in accordance with this specification. Unless otherwise specified, all tests (except product analysis) and inspections shall be made at the place of manufacture prior to shipment and shall be conducted in such a manner as not to interfere unnecessarily with the operation of the work.
- For Government Procurement Only - Unless otherwise specified in the Contract, the Contractor shall be responsible for performing all inspection and testing requirements specified herein and may use its own or any other suitable facilities to perform such inspection and testing requirements unless otherwise agreed to by the Purchaser at the time of purchase. The Purchaser shall have the right to perform any inspection and testing at the same frequency as specified in this specification if such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure that the material conforms to the specified requirements.
