ASTM A512 steel pipe is a carbon steel product with a specific composition and range of mechanical properties. Its composition range is carbon (C) 0.07-0.13, silicon (Si) 0.07-0.37, manganese (Mn) 0.35-0.65, sulfur (S) ≤ 0.035, nickel (Ni) ≤ 0.20, chromium (Cr) ≤ 0.15, copper (Cu) ≤ 0.250, molybdenum (Mo) and vanadium (V) limits. A512 steel pipe adopts a cold drawing manufacturing process, and its internal structure is improved through stretching and cold working. This manufacturing process results in a denser crystal structure of the tube, significantly improving the material's mechanical properties.
The mechanical properties of ASTM A512 welded steel pipe include tensile strength (MPa) ≥ 379, yield strength (MPa) ≥ 241, and elongation (%) ≥ 32. These values indicate that the steel pipe has high strength and good plasticity, can withstand large tensile loads, and maintains good ductility.
