ANSI B16.9 Reducing Tee, A234 WPB, BW, Sch 40
Oct 11, 2025
As a pipeline fitting, ANSI B16.9 reducer tee can convert the diameter of one pipeline into two or three pipelines with different diameters, making it suitable for various fluid transmission systems such as liquids, gases, steam, etc. Its applications are very extensive, including fields such as chemical industry, pharmaceuticals, food processing, aviation, aerospace, and many others.
Manufacturing Processes & Technical Challenges
Hot pressing: The carbon steel blank is heated to 1200°C and then pressed into shape with a mold; the cooling rate must be controlled to avoid cracks.
Cold extrusion: Processed at room temperature, it offers high precision but involves expensive equipment costs, making it suitable for small-diameter products (DN ≤ 50).
Key quality indicators include roundness deviation (≤1% nominal diameter) and non-destructive weld testing (X-ray pass rate ≥ 99%).
