Difference between 35CrMo steel pipe and A335 P11 steel pipe

35CrMo steel pipe and A335 P11 steel pipe are two different alloy steel pipe materials, which differ in chemical composition, properties and application scenarios.

Chemical composition and manufacturing standards

35CrMo Steel Pipe: This is a high-strength alloy steel pipe, mainly containing carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), chromium (Cr), molybdenum (Mo) and other elements. This kind of steel pipe adjusts its hardness and toughness through the heat treatment process of quenching and tempering.
A335 P11 Pipe: This is a specific standard of seamless ferritic alloy steel pipe for high temperature operations, which belongs to the ASTM A335 standard.P11 Pipe mainly contains chromium (Cr) and molybdenum (Mo), and the 0.5Mo in the specific composition makes this pipe show excellent endurance strength and oxidation resistance in high temperature and high pressure environments.

Properties and Applications

35CrMo steel pipe: Due to its good strength and toughness, as well as the adjustability of heat treatment, it is widely used in the petrochemical industry, automobile manufacturing industry and other fields for the manufacture of high-strength parts and pipelines.
A335 P11 steel pipe: This steel pipe is particularly suitable for high temperature and high pressure working environment, such as high temperature pipelines in petrochemical industry and key components in oil refineries. Its high temperature strength and oxidation resistance make it very reliable in these applications.
