High pressure boiler tube
Mar 14, 2024
- Manufacturing process:
1. Generally, the operating temperature of boiler tubes is below 450°C. Domestic tubes are mainly made of No. 10 and No. 20 carbon steel hot-rolled pipes or cold-drawn pipes.
2. High-pressure boiler tubes are often exposed to high temperature and high pressure conditions when used. Under the action of high-temperature flue gas and water vapor, the tubes will oxidize and corrode. Steel pipes are required to have high lasting strength, high resistance to oxidation and corrosion, and good structural stability.
- Use:
1. General boiler tubes are mainly used to make water wall tubes, boiling water tubes, superheated steam tubes, superheated steam tubes for locomotive boilers, large and small smoke tubes and arch brick tubes, etc.
2. High-pressure boiler tubes are mainly used to manufacture superheater tubes, reheater tubes, air guide tubes, main steam pipes, etc. for high-pressure and ultra-high-pressure boilers.

High-pressure boiler tube is a type of boiler tube and belongs to the category of seamless steel tube. The manufacturing method is the same as that of seamless pipes, but there are strict requirements for the type of steel used in manufacturing steel pipes. High-pressure boiler tubes are often exposed to high temperature and high pressure conditions during use. Under the action of high-temperature flue gas and water vapor, the tubes will oxidize and corrode. Steel pipes are required to have high lasting strength, high resistance to oxidation and corrosion, and good structural stability. High-pressure boiler tubes are mainly used to manufacture superheater tubes, reheater tubes, air guide tubes, main steam tubes, etc. for high-pressure and ultra-high-pressure boilers.
- Specifications and appearance quality
1. GB/T3087-2008 "Seamless Steel Pipes for Low and Medium Pressure Boilers" regulations. Steel pipe specifications for various structural boilers, with outer diameters ranging from 10 to 426mm, a total of 43 types. There are 29 types in total with wall thickness 1.5~26mm. However, there are other regulations on the outer diameter and wall thickness of superheated steam pipes, large smoke pipes, small smoke pipes and arch brick pipes used in locomotive boilers.
2. GB/T5310-2017 "Seamless Steel Pipes for High-Pressure Boilers" The outer diameter of hot-rolled pipes is 22 to 530mm, and the wall thickness ranges from 20 to 70mm. The outer diameter of cold-drawn (cold-rolled) pipes ranges from 10 to 108mm, and the wall thickness ranges from 2.0 to 13.0mm.
3. The regulations of GB/T3087-2008 "Seamless Steel Pipe for Low and Medium Pressure Boilers" and GB/T5310-2017 "Seamless Steel Pipe for High-Pressure Boilers". Appearance quality: No cracks, folds, rolls, scabs, delamination and hair lines are allowed on the inner and outer surfaces of steel pipes. These defects should be completely removed. The cleaning depth shall not exceed the negative deviation of the nominal wall thickness, and the actual wall thickness at the cleaning location shall not be less than the minimum allowable wall thickness.

Standard:
GB/T3087-2008 - Chinese National Standard (Seamless Steel Pipe for Low and Medium Pressure Boilers) GB/T5310 -2017 - Chinese National Standard (Seamless Steel Pipe for High-Pressure Boilers)
ASME SA106-------American Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code ASME SA210--American Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code
ASME SA213 - American Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code DIN17175 - Federal German Industrial Standard High Pressure Boiler Tube Resistance Application Range
This standard specifies the classification, size, shape, weight and allowable deviations, technical requirements, inspection and testing, packaging, marking and quality certificates of seamless steel pipes for boilers. This standard applies to hot-rolled seamless steel pipes produced for use in the manufacture of steam boilers, pipes, etc.
