ASTM A335 P11 seamless steel pipes are mainly used in the heating surfaces, economizers, headers, superheaters, reheaters, and petrochemical industry of high-pressure boilers. They are widely used in high-pressure boiler equipment in the petroleum, chemical, power, and aerospace industries.
Manufacturing Process and Quality Control
Forming Process: Utilizing multiple processes including hot rolling, cold drawing, and hot expansion, the outer diameter ranges from 21.3-762mm, and the wall thickness from 2-130mm. Custom specifications are available. The production process adheres to the TSG D7002 pressure piping component type test rules to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
Heat Treatment Technology: Through processes such as full annealing, normalizing, and tempering, processing stress is eliminated, and the grain structure is refined.
Key processes include:
Heating to 900-950℃ and holding before air cooling
Tempering treatment at 650-700℃
Strict control of heating and cooling rates
Testing System:
Each batch of products must pass:
Spectroscopic analysis to verify chemical composition
Tensile testing to test mechanical properties
Ultrasonic/eddy current testing to identify internal defects
Hydrostatic testing to verify sealing performance
