LTCS ASTM A333 pipe has medium strength and toughness down to -50°F (-46°C). It has similar properties to AISI 4032 steel, which is an alloy steel. The material composition of LTCS ASTM A333 pipes includes carbon (0.30% maximum), manganese (1.35% maximum), phosphorus (0.025% maximum), sulfur (0.025% maximum), silicon (0.10% minimum), nickel (0.50% maximum), Chromium (max. 0.30%) and molybdenum (max. 0.12%). These elements give the pipe excellent toughness and impact strength at low temperatures.
