A335 p9 steel pipes are made from ferritic alloy steel and are particularly suitable for high temperature applications. Its chemical composition includes metals such as molybdenum and chromium added to the alloy. The addition of these elements gives A335 p9 carbon steel pipe excellent mechanical properties.
Specifically, ASTM A335 p9 carbon tube has a yield strength of 205 MPa, a tensile strength of 415 MPa, and an elongation of approximately 30%. These are due to the addition of elements such as molybdenum and chromium, which not only increase the tensile strength of the alloy, but also enhance its wear resistance, impact quality, hardenability and elastic limit.
