What is stainless steel 321 pipe?
Stainless steel 321 pipe is a material made from titanium stabilized austenitic 18/8 stainless steel alloy
The additions to this alloy make it resistant to intergranular corrosion and help prevent the precipitation of carbides during welding.
SS 321 has a wide range of applications and is commonly used as high-pressure steam and boiler tubes, pressure vessels and manifolds, etc. It is a very tough and heat-resistant alloy material that is ideal for use in high-temperature environments.
Compared to SS 304L pipe, SS 321 pipe is more popular in high temperature range because of its better strength and formability.
