ASTM A312 TP304L Welded Steel Pipe Description
304L is a low-carbon 304 austenitic stainless steel with a carbon content of no more than 0.035%. Its excellent corrosion resistance is suitable for a wide range of applications. In Europe, the equivalent steel number is 1.4307. Due to its lower carbon content, it has low carbide precipitation and good weldability. It can therefore be welded using any type of conventional welding process, thus enabling it to survive in severe corrosive environments. This grade has good mechanical properties and also has some general-purpose properties.
