R type oval gasket is made of elastic materials such as rubber, metal, or composite materials. Its elliptical contour allows it to better adapt to asymmetric or oval connection surfaces during installation. When two flanges or connecting parts are tightened with bolts, the gasket is compressed, filling minor unevenness to form a seal. The elliptical design provides more uniform stress distribution, especially along the major and minor axes, which helps reduce localized overload and leakage risks. In contrast, circular gaskets perform well on circular connection surfaces but may fail to fully cover gaps when encountering oval or asymmetric structures, leading to decreased sealing effectiveness.
