What is the material of Q690C?
Q690C is a high-strength structural quenched and tempered steel with the following main characteristics:
Chemical composition: including carbon (C), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), phosphorus (P), sulfur (S) and other elements, as well as trace alloying elements such as niobium (Nb), vanadium (V), titanium (Ti), chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), molybdenum (Mo) and boron (B) that may be added.
Mechanical properties:
Yield strength: minimum 690 MPa.
Tensile strength: between 770 and 940 MPa.
Elongation: usually not less than 14%.
Impact absorption energy: 55 joules (J) at 0°C.
Other properties:
High toughness: maintains good toughness in high and low temperature environments.
Fatigue resistance: has good fatigue resistance under cyclic loads.
Impact resistance: can withstand large impact loads and is not easy to deform and crack.
Corrosion resistance: has good corrosion resistance and is suitable for harsh environmental conditions.
Wear-resistant and easy to process: It also has good performance in wear resistance and easy processing.
This material is widely used in bridges, buildings, ships, aerospace, automobiles, heavy machinery, mining machinery, pressure vessels, nuclear power plants and other fields. It is particularly suitable for manufacturing structural parts that bear extremely high loads, such as hydraulic supports, port cranes, flatbed transporters, etc.
