What is the temperature range for A335 P22 pipe
Jul 03, 2025
1. Standard operating temperature range
Long-term stable operation: 540℃~580℃, suitable for high temperature and high pressure systems such as power station boiler superheaters and steam pipes.
Tolerance to extreme working conditions:
Short-term peak temperature ≤750℃ (strict time control is required to avoid material creep damage);
High temperature endurance performance: maintain 100,000 hours of endurance strength ≥27MPa at 593℃ (to ensure the safety of supercritical units).
2. Low temperature adaptability
Welding process requirements: When the ambient temperature <0℃, the preheating temperature needs to be increased to 300℃ to prevent cold cracks;
Low temperature toughness guarantee: phosphorus and sulfur impurity content ≤0.025%, to avoid low temperature brittle fracture.
3. Special environmental tolerance
Sulfur-containing corrosion environment: In hydrogen sulfide medium, the annual corrosion rate <0.05mm (3 times the corrosion resistance of carbon steel);
Hydrogen embrittlement protection: The microstructure (bainite-ferrite) design effectively inhibits high-pressure hydrogen penetration.
