What’s TPEP Steel Pipe?
TPEP steel pipe, also known as plastic-coated composite steel pipe, is a steel pipe coated with PE (modified polyethylene) or EP (epoxy resin) inside and outside using spraying, rolling, and soaking processes. It is one of the most commonly used anti-corrosion steel pipes for buried long-distance pipelines. The outer wall of the steel pipe adopts a hot-melt winding process, with epoxy resin as the primer and polyethylene as the middle layer binder to form a three-layer structural anti-corrosion coating. The inner wall adopts the thermal spraying method, adding epoxy powder and melting it at high temperature to evenly coat it on the steel pipe. After the alloy layer is formed on the surface of the pipe, it is referred to as "TPEP steel pipe" (T, three layers, PE is polyethylene, EP is epoxy resin).

TPEP steel pipe has excellent corrosion resistance. The coating itself has good electrical insulation, no electrical corrosion, low water absorption, high mechanical strength, and small friction coefficient. It can achieve the purpose of long-term use and can effectively prevent damage to plant roots and Soil environmental stress. The price of TPEP steel pipe is similar to that of single-layer polyethylene internal melting epoxy steel pipe, but the corrosion resistance is improved by 3-5 times. The epoxy resin TPEP anti-corrosion steel pipe is suitable for the transportation of water supply and drainage, sea water, warm water, oil, gas and other media. The PVC TPEP anti-corrosion steel pipe is suitable for the transportation of drainage, sea water, oil, gas and other media.
