A333 Carbon Steel Pipe Description
ASTM A333 is mainly used for seamless steel pipes for low-temperature pressure vessels and low-temperature heat exchanger pipes at -45℃~-195℃. ASTM A333 Grade 1 is composed of a combination of iron, manganese, carbon, silicon, nickel, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium and provides excellent strength and corrosion resistance for cryogenic applications. Grade 1 has a tensile strength of 380 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa. ASTM A333 Level 3 is the standard covering seamless and welded carbon and alloy steel pipe for cryogenic applications. ASTM A333 gr.3 alloy pipe shall be manufactured using a seamless or welded process with no filler metal added during the welding operation. ASTM A333 Grade 6 Carbon Steel Seamless Pipe is a medium carbon steel pipe with a maximum carbon content of 0.30% and contains 0.29 – 1.06% manganese. ASTM A333 Grade 6 pipe is a highly ductile pipe with long-term wear characteristics.
