Alloy 316 is a standard molybdenum containing grade. Stainless steel 316 pipe/tubing is designed for excellent corrosion resistance. These grades have better resistance to crevice corrosion and pitting corrosion than alloy 304. The design minimum tensile strength of stainless steel 316 pipe is 515Mpa and the minimum yield strength is 200Mpa. They also have a good density of 8000kg/m3. The standard wall thickness of these pipes ranges from 0.5mm to 6.35mm.
